The artists in this exhibition draw their inspiration from this vast historical playing field illustrating the multitudinous works that can fall under the broad categorization of Abstraction. From the monochromatic works of Vanita Gupta to the colour fields of John Tun Sein, from the purely non-representational canvases of Surinder and Jyotee Kolte to the drawings of humans, animals, trees and objects against a layered background by Hamid Bin Amar.

Here is a perfect example of how abstraction as a term defines nothing but points to a plethora of experiences. After all isn't the point of art its experience?
