Tunty Chauhan is committed to bring contemporary Indian Art to pivotal attention. Exhibitions like Paradigms I, II, & III, ‘Drawing The Line’, ‘Angkor –The Silent Centuries’, ‘The Human Figure’, ‘Body Mind And Soul’, ‘Mapping Memories’ and 'Humour, Wit & Satire' all drew acclaim for curatorial sensitivity. Each of these shows was thoroughly researched and exhibited with an equivocal lucidity that distinguishes Threshold. ‘Mapping Memories’ is a living project involving workshops from painting, printmaking and sculpture – an on-going odyssey that has covered three continents Angkor Wat in Cambodia, Burma, Bali, Greece and finally China, over three years. Amongst the several workshops held in India, the Pondicherry camp located at the theatre campus stands out. These destinations made ideal choices being melting pots of culture and creative inspiration.Tunty's work has been sustained and nourished over the years through her interaction with artists and wide travels .
Tunty Chauhan's decade long journey with Threshold is filled with insight and ingenuity in understanding Indian art's contemporary vision and its impact on society over more than a decade. Her well honed instinct has led her to collaborate with some of the talented names in the art world. The long list includes V.Ramesh, Ved Gupta, Shanti Swatoopini , Vanita Gupta, Debraj Goswami, Justin Ponmany, ceramist Jyotsna Bhat and the sculptor Prithpal S. Ladi amongst others. |

Tunty Chauhan is credited with the Building and valuation of the Ranbaxy collection, one of the largest collections of modern and contemporary Indian art in the country.
Tunty is also the fund manager for Religare Art Fund.
